After some struggle we have arrived in Budapest. The car has been inspected by experienced desert racers and by some miracle (or perhaps due to miscommunications) it has PASSED.
Some of the incidents along the way were:
- New leak in the cooling system, fixed by two bottles of suspicious hungarian radiator cement (we think). Hopefully this will hold without clogging the system...
- Atle's lack of hungarian vocabulary caused him to fill up the cooling system with windshield wiper fluid. One should think that the picture of a windshield wiper on the can was a dead give away, but...
- We lost the car on the parking lot of a huge shopping mall
Good news are that we still managed to keep going at a decent speed, we have all the paperwork sorted and just a few minor details to get done today.
Tomorrow we depart for Africa!
